“Pathfinder changed the way I interact with people. I was real shy before. After going to Pathfinder and feeling comfortable with my abilities, I started to blossom and think of myself as smart.”
~ Darrell, Pathfinder alumnus, student at Cheshire Academy
“Pathfinder became a match made in heaven for my son. Not only did he excel, but all these different prep schools wanted him. I’m all excited because now my son is getting ready to graduate from Princeton.”
“It helped him develop personally. He wanted to give back more because of what he received through Pathfinder, so he volunteered throughout his freshman and sophomore year.”
When I started Pathfinder, it seemed like a lot of work, and it was. But with mentoring from the teachers and my family’s support, I got it all done. I learned so much at Pathfinder—not just facts, but skills I still use in college. I learned time management, critical thinking, and how to ask the right questions.
GOING TO PATHFINDER WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I EVER MADE.
I’m so glad my mom encouraged me. I know picking me up at Pathfinder on Thursday evenings was difficult for her, but I’m grateful she worked it out. I got into prep school with a scholarship, and now I’m at my top choice college. If your kid is thinking about applying to Pathfinder, I would say help them GO FOR IT!
Pathfinder was the first place I felt it was okay to be smart, okay to want more in life, and okay to be myself. I made friends at Pathfinder who I still keep in touch with today. Having that comfort level gave me the confidence and the drive I needed to succeed.
